PaniCast 24 - October 25, 1996 Madison

Barrymore Theatre, Madison, WI

On October 25, 1996 Lisa and I presented the first edition editor's copy of the Everyday Companion to the band and crew. The show itself was memorable and then to have the treat of getting books into the hands of those responsible for the music was a memory I will not soon forget.

I like the ecast, I am a huge panic fan. I would like to see more high bit rate files. It seems that the shows you have posted (ex. 19 - 23) have been tapers sections and of low bandwidth quality.

I would like to see some FLAC, SHN, or even 192 or greater MP3 soundboards. I know I am asking for the world but if no one ever strives for greatness, greatness is never achieved.

I don't know you, but I've read you. I've only left "the fold" once and that was after Fidler's Green in order to do some much needed grieving and reflection. 10/25/96 was my first Panic show. I was living in MN at the time, drove 8 hours to Mad-town, saw the show, changed my 'drawers, and drove eight hours straight back. I can say that I remember the show and the feelings that it produced. It was like a drug, something that I couldn't let go of, something I needed to share. Since that fall day in Madison, I have had the fortune of being surrounded by Panic fans, the most thoughtful, eclectic group of people that I have yet to meet. I usually lurk here and there, but this is my one shout out to the six headed monster that has forced me to be employed for all of these years just because I still want more.

PS I still page through that original EC, got any leftovers? Mine's missin' some pages/cover :-)

These two shows were a solid as any 1996 and what a great surprise to relisten to some great jammin' from Madtown. Yes I was there, Thanks Ted. Oh BTW I said hi to you in the 6th row in Ames as you walked by and you of course did not recognize me. Imagine that - with all the peeps you've met along the way. Hint I met and sat next to you and Lisa in Deer Creek '95 for the Dead Debacle and have bumped into you over the years. Enjoy the music... Peace, Bobby

Bobby - Damn me. I totally remember you now. It's been a while, you know, and your mind can play tricks on ya. In any case, it was great to see you - although I was clueless as usual....
PEACE AND PANIC!
